## Beschreibung

Product Price History saves a record every time a product’s price changes. You can
use that record to show customers a price history chart, display the lowest price
from the last 30 days on sale items, and meet price-disclosure rules in the EU and
Croatia.

Recording starts as soon as the plugin is active. You don’t need to set anything
up for it. Everything else is split into modules, so you only switch on what your
store needs.

### Why use it

 * **Stay on the right side of the Omnibus Directive.** In the EU, a discounted 
   product has to show the lowest price it had in the 30 days before the discount.
   The plugin works that out from the recorded history and shows it next to the 
   price.
 * **Meet Croatian price rules.** Anchor Price and Digital Price List cover the 
   extra requirements Croatian shops have had since 2025.
 * **Give shoppers a reason to trust your sales.** A chart that shows where the 
   price has been makes it clear that a discount is real.
 * **See your own pricing over time.** The history is there when you want to check
   how and when prices changed.

### Features

 * **Price recording:** Every price change on simple products and variations is 
   saved automatically, including changes made through the REST API and product 
   importers.
 * **Chart:** Show a price history bar chart on the product page. You can change
   its colors, size, title, date range, and the minimum number of prices needed 
   before it appears.
 * **Lowest Price:** Show the lowest price from the last 30 days on products that
   are on sale, with your own wording.
 * **Anchor Price:** Store a reference price and its date for each product or variation,
   and show it next to the current price. If you don’t enter one, the plugin can
   fill it in from the recorded history.
 * **Digital Price List:** Publish your current prices as a CSV file at a public
   URL. The plugin regenerates it for you and keeps older versions available for
   30 days.
 * **Price Compliance Manager:** Edit anchor prices for many products on one screen,
   or export and import them as CSV. You can filter products and match rows by SKU.
 * **Hide individual prices:** Leave out specific entries from the chart or the 
   lowest price calculation, for example a pricing mistake you fixed within minutes.

## Installation

#### From your WordPress dashboard

 1. Go to **Plugins > Add New**.
 2. Search for **Product Price History**.
 3. Click **Install**, then **Activate**.

#### Manual installation

 1. Upload the `product-price-history` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`.
 2. Go to **Plugins**.
 3. Activate Product Price History.

#### After activation

Go to **Price History > Settings** and switch on the modules you want to use. Price
recording is already running.

## FAQ

### Why isn’t the chart showing on my product page?

Check these in order:

 1. The Chart module is on under **Price History > Settings**.
 2. The product has at least as many recorded prices as the **Minimum prices to display**
    setting.
 3. **Hide chart** isn’t ticked in the product’s **Product Price History** tab.

The plugin can only record price changes made after it was activated. It has no 
way to know older prices, so a new install may need a few price changes before the
chart appears.

If all of that is fine, clear your site and browser cache. If the chart still doesn’t
show, post on the support forum.

### What does the plugin record?

The regular price, the sale price, the active price, and the currency for each product
and variation, with the date and time of the change.

### Can I change how the chart looks?

Yes. You can set the colours, width, title, date range, and how many prices must
be recorded before the chart shows. PRO adds line and stepped charts, a range switcher,
and a price summary.

### Can I hide the chart on some products?

Yes. Open the product, go to the **Product Price History** tab, and tick **Hide 
chart**.

### Can I leave certain prices out of the chart or the lowest price?

Yes. Open the product and go to the **Product Price History** tab. Each recorded
price has a checkbox to hide it.

Variable products have two lists. The one in the **Product Price History** tab is
used before a customer picks a variation. Each variation has its own list at the
bottom of its settings.

### Do I have to show the lowest price?

If you sell in the EU and the product is on sale, yes. The Omnibus Directive requires
you to show the lowest price from the 30 days before the discount. Outside the EU
it’s optional, but it still helps customers trust your sale prices.

### What are Anchor Price and Digital Price List for?

They cover price rules that apply in Croatia. Anchor Price shows a reference price
from a set date next to the current price. Digital Price List publishes your current
prices as a CSV file and keeps older versions available for 30 days. Both are optional,
so shops outside Croatia can leave them off.

The plugin is very easy to use, it works on variable and individual products. It
is also compatible with WPML for multilingual site.
