By dynamically displaying related posts below the main content, the RelatedPosts plugin improves user engagement and navigation on your WordPress website. This plugin provides users with relevant content by intelligently identifying and displaying posts from the same category as the current post.
Features
- Related posts by category, tag, or both
- Settings page (Settings Related Posts)
- Show before content, after content, or only via shortcode
- Order by random, latest, recently updated, most commented, or title
- Choose number of posts and columns (responsive grid)
- Toggle image, excerpt, date, author, read more link and category list
- Choose image size and a fallback image
- Hide related posts on any single post from the post editor

Supported attributes: post_id, posts, columns, relation (category, tag, both), orderby (rand, date, modified, comment_count, title), title, show_categories, show_image, show_excerpt, show_date, show_author, show_read_more. Any attribute left out uses the value from the settings page.

Installation
Uploading in WordPress Dashboard
- Download softicon-related-posts.zip
- Navigate to the ‘Add New’ in the plugins dashboard
- Navigate to the ‘Upload’ area
- Select softicon-related-posts.zip from your computer
- Click ‘Install Now’
- Activate the plugin in the Plugin dashboard
FAQ

Open the post in the editor and tick „Hide related posts on this post“ in the Related Posts box.

Set Position to „Manual (shortcode only)“ and add
[softicon_related_posts]where you want them.
