Your ad becomes a WooCommerce product carrying its\ntitle, description, price, images and location, and can be brought back in step\nwith its ad whenever you ask: prices follow, changed texts follow, and an ad that\nhas disappeared upstream is taken out of the catalogue instead of being sold on.<\/p>\n\n<p>The only credential the plugin needs is the <strong>public account ID<\/strong> \u2014 the one that\nappears in the account's own kleinanzeigen.de URL. There is no login, no OAuth\nand no password to store.<\/p>\n\n<p>Products appear as soon as their text data has been read; their images follow\nwithin a few minutes, fetched by a background job.<\/p>\n\n<h4>What it does<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Imports ads as WooCommerce products of their own product type \u2014 a simple\nand a variable classified product, so ads with variants stay variable.<\/li>\n<li>Brings products back in step with their ads when you start a sync from the\nplugin's dashboard: new ads are created, changed ads are updated, and ads that\nhave vanished upstream are deactivated and fall back to plain products rather\nthan being deleted.<\/li>\n<li>Restores a product automatically when its ad comes back.<\/li>\n<li>Keeps the shop tidy: a product whose ad has been gone for more than 30 days\nis deleted, together with its images. This housekeeping is the \"Cleanup\nregularly\" setting on the Tools tab, on by default.<\/li>\n<li>Maps ad content to your shop: category, label and keyword mapping is\nconfigured in the plugin's settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Images are stored in your media library<\/h4>\n\n<p>Each ad image is downloaded once, as WebP, and stored in your media library like\nan image you upload yourself, so your shop serves it from its own address. A\ntypical photo takes about 30 KB, plus the sizes WordPress makes of it.<\/p>\n\n<p>A site can keep the images off its disk instead: tick \"Show images from\nkleinanzeigen.de instead of copying them\" on the plugin's General settings tab.\nIts product pages then load every image from kleinanzeigen.de, so each visitor's\nbrowser sends kleinanzeigen.de the visitor's IP address, their browser's user\nagent and your shop's address. If you switch it on, say so in your privacy\npolicy. The <code>klassifieds_hotlink_images<\/code> filter overrides the setting.\nTicking it applies to images fetched from then on: the ones already stored stay\nin your media library until their product is removed, which the \"Cleanup\nregularly\" setting on the Tools tab (on by default) does once its ad has been\ninactive for more than 30 days. Unticking it again stores the linked images in\nthe background, one product at a time; until a product's turn comes, its images\nstill load from kleinanzeigen.de.<\/p>\n\n<h4>How the work is scheduled<\/h4>\n\n<p>Imports and syncs run in the background through WordPress's own scheduler\n(WP-Cron), which advances when your site receives traffic. On a shop that is\nstill quiet, that can be slow and irregular. There are two ways to make it\nsteady, neither of them required:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Set up a system cron for <code>wp-cron.php<\/code> \u2014 the usual approach for any WordPress\nsite that cares about timing.<\/li>\n<li>Or switch on the optional trigger service described below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>External services<\/h4>\n\n<p>This plugin contacts two third-party services. Both are called from your server,\nnever from a visitor's browser, unless you switch on hotlinking (see \"Images are\nstored in your media library\" above). One is required for the plugin to do\nanything at all; the other is optional and switched off by default.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>kleinanzeigen.de<\/strong> \u2014 the source of the ads and the reason the plugin exists.\nThe plugin requests the public account page and the public ad pages of the\naccount ID you enter, reads the ad data from them and downloads the ad images.\nWhat is sent is the account ID and the ad IDs, as part of the URL of an ordinary\nHTTP request; no data about your shop, your customers or your visitors is\ntransmitted.<\/p>\n\n<p>Requests happen while an import or sync you started is running, and from the\nbackground job that downloads the images of any product still missing them. Once\nthe items an import brought in are in the store \u2014 their text data and their\nimages alike \u2014 no further requests are made until you\nmanually trigger a sync from the plugin's dashboard page.<\/p>\n\n<p>Terms of use: https:\/\/themen.kleinanzeigen.de\/nutzungsbedingungen\/\nPrivacy policy: https:\/\/themen.kleinanzeigen.de\/datenschutzerklaerung\/<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>pinger.webpremiere.de<\/strong> \u2014 an optional trigger service run by the plugin\nauthor, for shops whose own traffic is too thin to drive WordPress's\nscheduler reliably. It is switched off by default and nothing is sent unless you\nturn it on under <strong>Klassifieds \u2192 Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>When you switch it on, and then once a day while it is on, your server sends the\nservice one request. It carries your site address, the plugin version, whether\nthe free or the Pro edition is running, and a fixed token that marks the request\nas coming from this plugin (the same in every copy, so it identifies nothing).\nLike every web request, it also passes your server's IP address, the time, and\nthe user agent WordPress sends, which names the WordPress version and your site\naddress. Beyond that, nothing is sent: no content of your shop or your ads, and\nno data about your customers or your visitors.<\/p>\n\n<p>The service then requests <code>wp-cron.php<\/code> on your site about once a minute, which\nlets WordPress run its scheduled work on time. Those requests carry no data.<\/p>\n\n<p>The service keeps one entry per site: the site address, the plugin version, the\nedition and the time of the last registration. It does not keep the IP address.\nThe entry is deleted as soon as you switch the service off or deactivate the\nplugin, and automatically once a site has not registered for four days. The\nserver's access log, which records every request with its IP address, is\ndeleted after seven days. The plugin author sees the list of registered sites\nin order to run the service; it is used for nothing else and passed on to no\none. The service runs on the author's own server in Germany. To have your entry\nremoved, or to ask what is stored about your site, write to info@webpremiere.de.<\/p>\n\n<p>The plugin works without it \u2014 imports and syncs simply advance whenever\nWordPress's own scheduler runs.<\/p>\n\n<p>Terms: https:\/\/klassifieds.webpremiere.de\/en\/agb\/\nPrivacy policy: https:\/\/klassifieds.webpremiere.de\/en\/datenschutz\/<\/p>\n\n<h4>Source code and building<\/h4>\n\n<p>Two parts of the plugin are compiled, and their sources ship with it:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li><code>build\/<\/code>, the onboarding screen, is built from <code>src\/<\/code> with\n  @wordpress\/scripts.<\/li>\n<li><code>admin\/css\/style-admin-klassifieds.css<\/code> is built with Tailwind CSS from\n  admin\/css\/style-admin-klassifieds-input.css, which imports\n  admin\/css\/style-admin-common-input.css.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>To rebuild them, run these in the plugin's folder, with Node.js and npm installed:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li><code>npm install<\/code><\/li>\n<li><code>npm run build<\/code> rebuilds <code>build\/<\/code> from <code>src\/<\/code><\/li>\n<li><code>npm run tw:build<\/code> rebuilds <code>admin\/css\/style-admin-klassifieds.css<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The PHP libraries in <code>vendor\/<\/code> are installed with Composer, from <code>composer.json<\/code>\nand <code>composer.lock<\/code>: <code>composer install --no-dev --optimize-autoloader<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Klassifieds Pro<\/h4>\n\n<p>A paid add-on runs the synchronization unattended, so products follow their ads\nwithout anyone starting a run, and adds a distributed sync worker, screenshots,\ne-mail reports and discount pricing. It is not required and it unlocks nothing\nhere \u2014 everything described above works on its own.\nSee https:\/\/klassifieds.webpremiere.de<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Install and activate WooCommerce. Klassifieds for WooCommerce does not run\nwithout it.<\/li>\n<li>Upload the plugin to <code>\/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code>, or install it through the\nPlugins screen in WordPress.<\/li>\n<li>Activate the plugin through the Plugins screen.<\/li>\n<li>Open <strong>Klassifieds \u2192 Settings<\/strong>, read and confirm the terms of use.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your kleinanzeigen.de account ID. The account ID is the number in that\npage's address. Fields the plugin does not own \u2014 your own categories, labels and\nthe mapping you configured \u2014 are left alone.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20does%20the%20plugin%20remove%20when%20i%20uninstall%20it%3F\"><h3>What does the plugin remove when I uninstall it?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Its own database tables, options and scheduled events, and its folder under\n    wp-content\/uploads\/. Products created from ads stay in your shop as ordinary\nWooCommerce products, and so do their ad data, the labels and the \"specials\"\nand \"rent\" attributes. To remove those too, add this line to <code>wp-config.php<\/code>\nbefore you delete the plugin:<\/p>\n\n<pre><code>define( 'KLASSIFIEDS_REMOVE_ALL_DATA', true );\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n<p>The products themselves are never deleted.<\/p><\/dd>\n\n<\/dl>\n\n<!--section=changelog-->\n<h4>0.9.193<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>The installer shows its percentage again. 0.9.192 renamed the element it is written into, and the installer's script kept looking for the old name, so the number stayed empty while an account was being installed.<\/li>\n<li>For developers: the two percentages are written by id, <code>#svg-installer-value<\/code> and <code>#svg-bulk-value<\/code> (Klassifieds Pro 0.9.169 writes the bulk edit's there). <code>tests\/svg-styles.php<\/code> pins both ids.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>0.9.192<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>An ad's page is read once. Its text, its location and its images come from one reader for the mobile and the desktop page of an ad, which keeps each page it fetched for an hour, where every one of them used to fetch the page again.<\/li>\n<li>A product keeps its description when its ad's page cannot be read, instead of taking \"Not found\" or nothing in its place.<\/li>\n<li>Bulk actions in Klassifieds Pro's product list show how far they have come, as a percentage over the list.<\/li>\n<li>For developers: every AJAX handler answers through <code>Klassifieds_Ajax::json_success()<\/code> or <code>json_error()<\/code>, so every reply carries <code>success<\/code>, and a failure a <code>message<\/code> instead of <code>data.error<\/code>. <code>Klassifieds_Dom_Document<\/code> (<code>mobile()<\/code>, <code>desktop()<\/code>) replaces <code>read_dom_document()<\/code>, <code>get_ad_locality()<\/code> and <code>get_ad_images()<\/code>; <code>get_ad_content()<\/code> stays, deprecated, for Klassifieds Pro 0.9.167. <code>create_product_images()<\/code> takes the page as <code>array( 'device' =&gt; \u2026, 'html' =&gt; \u2026 )<\/code>. Update Klassifieds Pro to 0.9.168 afterwards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>0.9.191<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>German is back on a German site. The translation the plugin ships was complete, but nothing told WordPress where it lies: WordPress looks in wp-content\/languages and in the folders a plugin registers itself, never in a plugin's Domain Path on its own. The registration went missing in 0.9.167 with the old text domain and was never put back, so from 0.9.168 on every screen stayed English \u2014 and wordpress.org carries no approved German for this plugin yet, so no language pack stepped in either. The admin screens and the React parts of them are German again.<\/li>\n<li>For developers: the bundled translations are registered with <code>load_plugin_textdomain()<\/code> on <code>after_setup_theme<\/code>, and <code>wp_set_script_translations()<\/code> is given the path to the JSON. A language pack from wordpress.org still wins over the bundled copy, as it should. <code>tests\/translation-de.php<\/code> pins both.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>0.9.190<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>The admin page header credits WebPremiere. 0.9.189 announced the new author name but was packaged before this last place followed, so the published release still read the old one.<\/li>\n<li>Stale docblocks naming the former author are gone from seven files. Nothing else changes: no new behaviour, no new setting, no database work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>0.9.189<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>New artwork: the plugin's mark, banner and icons are redrawn, and the admin menu icon, the page header logo and the loading animation follow it. The screenshots in the plugin directory are new as well.<\/li>\n<li>The dashboard's card for products that come from an ad now reads \"Kleinanzeigen\", the platform's name, where it read \"kleinanzeigen.de\" before.<\/li>\n<li>The plugin is published under the author name \"WebPremiere\".
