404 bei pdf download abhängig vom Browser

ein Kunde rief mich an, weil er beim versuchten pdf download von meiner Webseite den Fehler 404 erhielt. Ich habe das von meinem Rechner getestet. Bei Firefox geht der Download, bei Edge und Chrome nicht. Die Löschung des Verlaufs half nicht.

Firefox zeigt mir an, dass der Link zu einer PDF-Datei wie folgt lautet:
http://www.puretec-analytics.de/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Dextens-Process-Instrument-O3-datasheet-ENG.pdfWeitergeleitet wird aber auf
https://www.puretec-analytics.de/wp_puretec_0819/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/Dextens-Process-Instrument-O3-datasheet-ENG.pdfDaher vermute ich, dass die automatische Weiterleitung von http auf https falsch konfiguriert ist. Das könnte ein Fehler in der .htaccess sein, oder eine Fehlkonfiguration des Webspaces.
Eine Weiterleitung läuft serverseitig, das ist kein Problem des Browsers. Ich habe die Probleme im Firefox, Edge, Chrome und Opera
Diese Fehler lassen sich z. B. über das Plugin „Better Search and Replace“ korrigieren (ersetzen von http://example.com/ durch https://example.com/).
Vorher aber bitte auf jeden Fall eine Sicherung der Datenbank erstellen..
