Um was für Bilder handelt es sich? Um welche Lizenz? Woher stammt die Aussage, dass Urheberangaben „nicht im Impressum oder ganz unten auf der Seite“ stehen dürfen?
Auf creativecommons.org gibt eine Webseite mit Best practices, in der ausdrücklich erwähnt wird, dass die Lizenz angemessen umgesetzt werden soll:
The license tells you to be reasonable:
You may satisfy the conditions in (1) and (2) above in any reasonable manner based on the medium, means and context in which the Licensed Material is used. For example, it may be reasonable to satisfy some or all of the conditions by retaining a copyright notice, or by providing a URI or hyperlink associated with the Licensed Material, if the copyright notice or webpage includes some or all of the required information.
There is no one right way; just make sure your attribution is reasonable and suited to the medium you’re working with. That being said, you still have to include attribution requirements somehow, even if it’s just a link to an About page that has that info. (More on different mediums below.)

Ich bin aber kein Rechtsanwalt und im Forum hier geht es auch nicht um eine Rechtsberatung.
Abgesehen davon hast du bereits ohne Plugin die Möglichkeit, einen Urhebernachweis als Bildbeschriftung einzufügen. Unter dem Stichwort Attribution findest du auch einige Plugins, um Lizenzinformationen hinzuzufügen.
Noch eine Bitte: Wenn du künftig nach einem passenden Plugin fragst, gib bitte an, wo du bereits gesucht hast, was du bereits ausprobiert hast und wieso das nicht für dich in Frage kam. Du ersparst den Teilnehmer hier die Mühe, dir Plugins vorzuschlagen, die du bereits verworfen hast. Steht auch so in unserem angehefteten Informations-Beitrag zu Plugins.
