Blank functions.php file in the „theme editor“

    Hello 🙂

    Although on the server level the functions.php file of my child-theme is filled with several rules, when I try to visualize or edit it through Appearance -> Theme Editor I am confronted with a blank window.

    All the other files, such as style.css, front-page.php etc. are perfectly accessible and visible in the theme editor section, apart from the functions.php.

    What does it actually mean? Does it possibly imply that they are any issues with any rule contained in the functions.php? The website itself runs perfectly fine at a first glance, no critical errors or whatsoever.

    Looking forward for you kind support. Any valuable hint would be highly appreciated.
