Crosscat Plugin „catwalker“

Ich benutze seit langem das Plugin „catwalker“ Cross Categorizer, welches ich etwas „aufgebohrt“ habe, so dass es die Auswahl von 5 verschiedenen Kategorien als Suchkriterium ermöglicht. Da dies Plugin leider nur bis PHP 7.4 funktioniert, suche ich Hilfe. Wer kann mir einen Hinweis geben, wie das Plugin unter PHP 8.x wieder funktioniert?
