Editor Version 5.8.1 removes ­soft hyphen before saving the page

    Hello!
    It looks like it is the actual WordPress page editor that is removing the soft hyphen (& shy; without space) when writing it into the page editor. The editor removes it even before saving the page. I use wordpress, Version 5.8.1.
    What can I do to get a correct mobile view for long words?
