    Guten Morgen,
    das leidige Thema wurde vielleicht schon einige Male diskutiert, allerdings habe ich nichts passendes auf meine Frage gefunden.

    Ich verwende Mailchimp als Newsletter-System, entsprechend habe ich das Plugin von „ibericode“ im Einsatz, um meine Abonnenten in die Listen zu übertragen.

    Nach DSGVO muss sich ein Benutzer nun aber explizit für das E-Mail Marketing entscheiden und anmelden. Mailchimp selber bietet diese Option über die „Account bearbeiten“ Funktion. Aktuell heißt das folgendes:

    1.) Benutzer meldet sich an.

    2.) Benutzer muss die Mail Bestätigen (double opt-in).

    3.) Benutzer muss sein Profil aufrufen und dort explizit den Haken setzen, dass er Mails empfangen will.

    Also nach aktuellem Stand ein triple opt-in. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit dieses Flag für die GRPR/DSGVO gleich schon bei der Anmeldung zu geben? Habt ihr Möglichkeiten gefunden, um dem Benutzer den 3. Schritt zu ersparen? Welche Plugins habt ihr dafür im Einsatz oder wie habt ihr eure Mailchimp registration forms eingebunden?

    Hi,

    I’m not sure if I understood your message fully as my German is limited but let me try:

    The plugin already has everything you would need to be GDPR compliant, we will add some features to make it easier for you in the next update, like warnings with certain settings and an easier way to include a required checkbox to confirm data is saved at MailChimp.     MailChimp does not let us set those GDPR fields via the API, but instead advised us and our users to use normal interest groups. You can include those in the form as checkboxes and it will be saved in MailChimp and let you create segments based on what boxes someone checked.
    If you add new interest groups it can take awhile before the button to insert them into the forms show in our plugin, to speed that up go to Mailchimp for WP > Mailchimp after creating the interest groups and click the „Renew MailChimp Lists“ button to directly pull in the latest fields and lists.

    Thank you Lap. Your answer is matching my request. In this case I have to work with a checkbox. Too bad that Mailchimp does not offer the possibility to use the existing GDPR options. So in the end you have everything double.

    Danke Torsten. Da waren durchaus noch ein paar interessante Punkte dabei, die ich noch nicht auf dem Schirm hatte. Aber über den Anmelde-Prozess muss ich mir nun weiterhin noch Gedanken machen.

    Zum Einen würde ich gerne die vorgefertigte Lösung von Mailchimp einsetzen, zum Anderen soll aber der Anmeldevorgang dadurch nicht unnötig kompliziert werden. Ich bin grade noch unschlüssig wie ich beides ordentlich unter einen Hut bekomme.
