Support » Plugins » „unnötige“ Plugins auf der WordPress-Seite

  • Hallo :)!

    Ich wundere mich schon seit langem, ob folgende Plugins wirklich notwendig sind auf meiner Webseite z.B. bezüglich DSGVO, Sicherheit, Funktionalität? Oder ob ich sie doch getrost löschen/deaktivieren kann.

    Captcha Code
    Disable REST API
    Remove XMLRPC Pingback Ping
    Subscribe to „Double-Opt-in“ Comments

    Add Target Fixer
    Blogger-Importer
    Nofollow for external link
    WordPress Importer

    Noch einen shönen Abend und danke für die Hilfe,
    Philip

  • Ähmmm, eigentlich solltest du am Besten wissen, welche Plugins eingesetzt werden oder welche gelöscht werden können.

    I’d enable the Rest API itself so I could run the Block Editor (Gutenberg) so then that one can go…

    The rest could be disabled but kept around for a while ‚just in case‘.

    I’d keep the importer but I use that a lot. You may never use it yourself.

    Ich bin mir selber nicht sicher, da ich immer ein wenig herumprobiert habe bzw. auch einen Webseitenumzug hinter mir hatte.

    @jnashhawkins
    thanks :)! For now, I don’t really care about the block editor, since I do most of my writing in a word document and editing either within a page builder or HTML-code
    Could I disable/delete the importer if I have a backup plugin?

    Yes, of course, you can delete the importer. If you need it in the future you can always reinstall it. It’s not a critical item at all.

    @jnashhawkins, it’s nice that you want to help, but please note that this is a german forum. Please write in german. I assume, that you are able to do so, you could read and understand the first post.

    Das ist ein deutschsprachiges Forum, daher bitte hier nicht in anderen Sprachen schreiben.

    I’m sorry if I offended you in any way. I came over to help after hearing you all might have needed some help and thought maybe I could offer something.

    I don’t speak german so I used Google translate to help me read the question and left my reply in English as I was unsure of the translation abilities going back. I wouldn’t be able to read my own words once translated. Somehow that seemed wrong.

    I was under the impression that many german speaking people also have a good grasp of English and the translate function would help those who can’t and wished to read my response.

    Again, I’m sorry if I caused any problems. I’ll keep my efforts confined to the English forum from here on.

    @jnashhawkins
    again, every help is very appreciated 🙂 – thank you!

    But we keep the threads clear and simple: 1 question/problem = 1 thread. Every user in the future can search and find a solution, if the user has the same problem. Some of these users don’t understand english, and if here is a given solution in english, it is not valuable for them. Otherwise they all would write and search in english forums.

    Therefore local forums exist.
    Have a nice day!
