update auf php 8.0

    Hallo, ich bekomme die Fehlermeldung kritischer Fehler beim Hochsetzen auf die php 8.0. im debug mode habe ich schon die Anpassungen lt. Forum ausgeführt, aber es funktioniert weiterhin nicht. Beim zurücksetzen auf php 7.3 geht alles wieder normal. Der Fehler kommt meiner Meinung nach aus woocommerce.

    Wir hatten einige Berichte von Anwendern/-innen, bei denen die deutsche Übersetzung fehlerhaft war, weil ein Platzhalte %s nur mit % übersetzt wurde (Tippfehler) und das dann zu einem Fehler der Übersetzungsfunktion führt. Deshalb die Frage, wie sich die Website verhält, wenn die Website auf Englisch läuft. Dass man sich damit nicht mehr ausloggen kann, ist recht kurios.

    …. die Webseite wird korrekt angezeigt, aber ich kann mich nicht mehr ausloggen. Erst nachdem ich php wieder auf 7.3 gestellt, auf deutsch geändert habe,kann ich mich ausloggen

    Die Fehlermeldung hatte sich im Spamfilter unseres Forums verheddert und musste erst einmal freigeschaltet werden. (Bitte in solchen Fällen auch nicht mehrfach posten.)

    Missing format specifier at end of string ist eigentlich genau das, was ich weiter oben bezüglich Übersetzung geschrieben habe. Probier bitte mal, die Website unter Einstellungen > Allgemein auf Sprache Englisch umzustellen, den Inhalt des Verzeichnisses wp-content/languages (einschließlich Unterverzeichnissen) zu löschen und dann wieder auf Sprache Deutsch zu wechseln. Ergebnis sollte sein, dass die Sprachdateien neu geladen werden.

    Wie immer ist bei solchen Aktionen ein Backup sinnvoll (eine Sicherung von wp-content/languages reicht schon).

    vielen Dank für eure tipps. die umstellung auf englisch / deutsch hat nicht funktioniert. als ich mit php 7.4 mal wieder rein kam, habe ich das plugin W3 Total Cache installiert und das mehmals den cache leeren lassen. dann hat mit tiefengereinigtem backend endlich funktioniert und die webseite läuft nun einwandfrei auf 8.3 …
