Uploaded Images not found

Image upload used to work fine until now:
When I upload an image, everthing seems to work, but after upload, the image link is always broken. I can change meta-data and insert it into post, but I never see the actual image…
The background image is gone too, and I can’t upload a new one.

I hadn’t changed anything at all since it was working the last time.
What I’ve tried:
– deactivating recently installed/updated plugins
– changing upload folder
– using the old uploader and different images on different posts
