You can install the Knowledge Base for Documents and FAQs from your WordPress Dashboard or manually upload it through FTP.

OPTION 1: Install Knowledgebase Plugin from WordPress Dashboard

  1. Navigate to Plugins -> Add New.
  2. Search for ‚Knowledge Base for Documents and FAQs‘ and install the plugin.
  3. Activate the plugin in the Plugins menu.
  4. Optional step: configure the plugin in Admin menu, in Knowledge Base -> KB Configuration page.

OPTION 2: Manually Upload Plugin Files

  1. Download the plugin file from the plugin page:
  2. Unzip the file
  3. Upload the ‚echo-knowledge-base‘ folder to your ‚/wp-content/plugins‘ directory (do not rename the folder).
  4. Optional step: configure the plugin in Admin menu, in Knowledge Base -> KB Configuration page.

I actually originally purchased BasePress, but found that I was running into problems with conflicts and the look and feel. I run oxygenbuilder and even though there was an oxygen builder plugin for Basepress I could not get it to work. So I tried Knowledge Base and it was super easy to setup and get going. No problems at all and works well with my oxygen builder. Nice job on the wizard that walks you through and love all of the extra plugins available to enhance the functionality.Would highly recommend.

I tried DW Q&A and was disappointed with the editor not being what I normally use to add pages & posts. This Echo KB is very clever. It creates a page and then that one page has a dynamic link to the KB application. All my plugins I use for the editor remain intact and the KB creates a subset of categories and tags specific to the KB. My only wish list is perhaps: 1) easier way to organize multiple KB 2) better accessibility color schemes. I had to re-do some of the default colors so they read better and have higher accessibility score.
