Page Builder by SiteOrigin

Beschreibung

SiteOrigin Page Builder is the most popular page creation plugin for WordPress. It makes it easy to create responsive column based content, using the widgets you know and love. Your content will accurately adapt to all mobile devices, ensuring your site is mobile-ready. Read more on SiteOrigin.

We’ve created an intuitive interface that looks just like WordPress itself. It’s easy to learn, so you’ll be building beautiful, responsive content in no time.

Page Builder works with standard WordPress widgets, so you’ll always find the widget you need. We’ve created the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle to give you all the most common widgets, and with a world of plugins out there, you’ll always find the widget you need.

It works with your theme.

Page Builder gives you complete freedom to choose any WordPress theme you like. It’s not a commitment to a single theme or theme developer. The advantage is that you’re free to change themes as often as you like. Your content will always come along with you.

We’ve also made some fantastic free themes that work well with Page Builder.

No coding required.

Page Builder’s simple drag and drop interface means you’ll never need to write a single line of code. Page Builder generates all the highly efficient code for you.

We don’t limit you with a set of pre-defined row layouts. Page Builder gives you complete flexibility. You can choose the exact number of columns for each row and the precise weight of each column – down to the decimal point. This flexibility is all possible using our convenient row builder. And, if you’re not sure what you like, the Row Builder will guide you towards beautifully proportioned content using advanced ratios.

Live Editing.

Page Builder supports live editing. This tool lets you see your content and edit widgets in real-time. It’s the fastest way to adjust your content quickly and easily.

History Browser.

This tool lets you roll forward and back through your changes. It gives you the freedom to experiment with different layouts and content without the fear of breaking your content.

Row and widget styles.

Row and widget styles give you all the control you need to make your content uniquely your own. Change attributes like paddings, background colours and column spacing. You can also enter custom CSS and CSS classes if you need even finer grained control.

It’s free, and always will be.

Page Builder is our commitment to the democratization of content creation. Like WordPress, Page Builder is, and always will be free. We’ll continue supporting and developing it for many years to come. It’ll only get better from here.

We offer free support on the SiteOrigin support forums.

Page Builder is actively developed with new features and exciting enhancements all the time. Keep track on the Page Builder GitHub repository.

FAQ

Installation Instructions
  1. Upload and install Page Builder in the same way you’d install any other plugin.
  2. Read the usage documentation on SiteOrigin.
How do I move a site created with Page Builder from one server to another?

We recommend the duplicator plugin. We’ve tested it in several instances and it always works well with Page Builder data.

Can I bundle Page Builder with my theme?

Yes, provided your theme is licensed under GPL or a compatible license. If you’re publishing your theme on ThemeForest, you must select the GPL license instead of their regular license.

Page Builder is actively developed and updated, so generally I’d recommend that you have your users install the original plugin so they can receive updates. You can try TGM Plugin Activation.

Will plugin X work with Page Builder?

We’ve tried to ensure that Page Builder is compatible with most plugin widgets. It’s best to just download Page Builder and test for yourself.

Great first- but very buggy

I really can’t understand all those 5 Star Reviews. I have Problems with the Plugin all the time. At first it seemed great. The Interface is understandable, intuitive, it is also responsive – but not really. At this point the Plugin is not flexible. If you want to do something with Bootstrap Grid, you can forget it. (Like blending out a grid on s but not on xs and so on)
At the moment I have a lot problems exporting and importing my Database: The Plugin sometimes destroys my DB Export, it seems like only half of my DB Dump is exported. Sometimes when importing, it takes so long, that its endning in a timeout. (I tried it on a Webspace and on my local Machine) And my Computer is running out of ram because of importing a simple DB Dump.
When it is working, the Dump is imported – the pages with the Page Builder are suddenly only HTML, you need to revert the page to Page Builder, which is very annoying.
I thought the Plugin can only get better… but to be honest, one year ago, it was better than now.

LOVE IT!

I was first introduced to Siteorigin and their PageBuilder two years or so ago when I purchased my first WP premium theme Vantage from them. Over the years I have tried other builders and other premium themes but I find S.O. Page Builder and corresponding themes and widgets to be the best experience by far. It is just nice to have things WORK and if they don’t, S.O. provides the nicest, kindest support I have ever received from any product, period. Most companies could learn a thing or two from this group. After two years of „playing around“, I am getting more serious about my websites and will continue to invest in the SiteOrigin infrastructure because I feel my money is well spent and they offer the best combination of good code, good functionality, and great support…plus, they are like family at this point 🙂

Does not work with Yoast Premium

I am getting the word out: Yoast Premium does not work with SiteOrigin page Builder and they keep saying its Yoast because they are not wanting to address the issue.

Here is my BLOCKED ATTEMPT when trying to post this on their forum.

Referring to the page: https://siteorigin.com/thread/yoast-no-works-dec-2017/#_=_

I would have to disagree. I have provided your organization with a login to check against and your organization keeps telling me to revert back to the free version of Yoast.

Here are the errors I am getting on pinncomp.com and schillicorp.com

I have checked with yoast and they stated it is the way you are rendering the code in the editor. They are wondering why you are rendering it as a shortcode instead of HTML when its a page builder not a shortcode I hope you know Yoast is the #1 SEO plugin in the world and you will definitely loose your reputation once those 1 star reviews come in for responses like this. SiteOrigin has ALWAYS worked with yoast, and when talking to yoast, they stated they have not changed anything but the algorithm here recently. Nothing that interacts with your page builder so it is SiteOrigin. Own up to your mess and fix this, I was just about to buy a premium license for about 10-15 of my customers websites.

here is an example that you are rendering it as a shortcode:

<div id=“pl-595″ class=“panel-layout“ ><div id=“pg-595-0″ class=“panel-grid panel-no-style“ data-style=“{"background_display":"tile","cell_alignment":"flex-start"}“ data-ratio=“1″ data-ratio-direction=“right“ ><div id=“pgc-595-0-0″ class=“panel-grid-cell“ data-weight=“1″ ><div id=“panel-595-0-0-0″ class=“so-panel widget widget_sow-image panel-first-child panel-last-child“ data-index=“0″ data-style=“{"widget_css":"text-align: center;","background_display":"tile"}“ ><div class=“panel-widget-style panel-widget-style-for-595-0-0-0″ >[siteorigin_widget class=“SiteOrigin_Widget_Image_Widget“]<

Notice the Bold shortcode at the end of the above code? This is what Yoast Premium uses.

Lightweght

Awesome plugin! Fast to load and lightweight. Used it for all of my websites.

(Solved) Page Builder Tab doesn’t show

Hi, today I just found out the page builder tab is not showing. So far the live page looks fine, but won’t be able to edit until the pagebuilder functions come back. Anyone has the same problem?
