Beschreibung
Vidyarthi CRM helps institutes manage enquiries, the admission pipeline, counsellor follow-ups, walk-in visitors and reports.
Developed by Dimple – https://bansalconsultancy.in/
It can run in two modes:
- Standalone mode: use Vidyarthi CRM lead stages, courses, follow-ups, and reports without Course Manager Pro.
- Bridge mode: if Course Manager Pro tables are detected, Vidyarthi CRM can use Course Manager courses, batches, and counsellors.
Features
- Lead/enquiry capture with student, parent, phone, city, course, fee, and source details.
- Admission pipeline stages from New Enquiry to Admitted or Lost.
- Counsellor assignment using Course Manager roles when available; counsellors see their own leads.
- Follow-up reminders for no-contact, demo, and fee-pending leads.
- WhatsApp quick message buttons.
- Lead detail page with notes and follow-up history.
- Demo class tracking.
- Visitor log and visitor analytics, with one-click conversion of a visitor to a lead.
- Bulk CSV import and CSV export for filtered lead lists.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Lead Ads: Connect with Facebook or webhook, with campaign/ad set rules for counsellor, stage and source.
- Pabbly Connect webhook for lead forwarding.
- Reports for source, course demand, funnel, stage distribution, and counsellor performance.
- Convert a lead to a Course Manager student/enrollment when Course Manager Pro is active.
External services
This plugin can connect to the following third-party services. All of them are optional and are only used if you set up the matching feature (Meta Lead Ads, WhatsApp button, Pabbly Connect). If you never use those features, the plugin sends no data anywhere.
Meta (Facebook / Instagram) Graph API
Used by the „Meta Leads“ feature to log in with Facebook, list the Facebook Pages you manage, subscribe a Page to lead notifications and download the details of each new Lead Ads lead into the CRM. The requests go to graph.facebook.com and www.facebook.com.
Data sent, and when:
- When you click „Connect with Facebook“: your Meta App ID, App Secret, the OAuth authorization code returned by Facebook, and the access tokens obtained from it, so Meta can issue and exchange login tokens and list your Pages.
- When you pick a Page: the Page ID and the Page access token, to subscribe that Page to the „leadgen“ webhook field.
- Every time Meta notifies the plugin about a new lead: the lead ID and the Page access token, to fetch the lead’s form answers (name, phone, email, city, course) from Meta. No other site data or visitor data is sent.
Meta also sends lead notifications to your site’s webhook URL (/wp-json/vcrm/v1/meta-webhook). These requests are accepted only if they carry a valid signature made with your App Secret.

WhatsApp (wa.me click-to-chat links)
The „WhatsApp“ buttons on a lead open a wa.me link in a new browser tab, only when you click the button. The link contains the lead’s phone number and the pre-written message text, so WhatsApp can open a chat with that number. The plugin itself does not send anything to WhatsApp in the background.

Pabbly Connect (optional, incoming only)
If you use Pabbly Connect to forward Meta leads, Pabbly sends each lead (name, phone, email, city, course, campaign name) to your own site’s webhook URL (/wp-json/vcrm/v1/pabbly-lead), protected by the secret token you set in the plugin. The plugin does not send any data to Pabbly.

Bridge Mode
When Course Manager Pro tables exist, the add-on:
- Reads active courses from
cm_courses. - Reads active/upcoming batches from
cm_batches. - Uses Course Manager admin/counsellor roles for assignment.
- Converts a CRM lead into
cm_students,cm_enrollments, and optional registration fee payment.
Course Manager Pro is not modified by this add-on.
Installation
- Upload
vidyarthi-crm.zipfrom WordPress Admin > Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. - Activate the plugin.
- Open the Vidyarthi CRM menu in WordPress Admin.
- If Course Manager Pro is installed, bridge mode is detected automatically.
Upgrading from „Course Manager CRM Add-on“
Install and activate Vidyarthi CRM. Your leads, follow-ups, visitors, settings and Meta/Pabbly tokens are moved over automatically and the old plugin is deactivated. Existing Meta and Pabbly webhook URLs (wp-json/cmcrm/v1/…) keep working; new setups use wp-json/vcrm/v1/…. If you use „Connect with Facebook“, add the new OAuth redirect URI shown in Vidyarthi CRM > Meta Leads to your Meta app.

Änderungsprotokoll
1.8.0
- Activation no longer inserts sample leads automatically. A „Load 7 sample leads“ button now appears on the dashboard only when the CRM is empty, and only loads data if an administrator clicks it.
- Fixed the database table creation SQL to use the exact format dbDelta() requires (removed „IF NOT EXISTS“, which dbDelta cannot parse).
1.7.9
- Fixed the Pabbly Terms & Conditions URL in this readme.
- All admin-page JavaScript now loads through wp_enqueue_script()/wp_localize_script()/wp_add_inline_script() instead of inline tags.
1.7.8
- Limited readme Tags to 5 (WordPress.org requirement).
- All database queries now consistently use $wpdb->prepare(); table/column names are escaped or whitelisted.
- CSV import now reads the uploaded file via WP_Filesystem instead of fopen()/fread()/fclose().
- All internal redirects use wp_safe_redirect(); the one redirect to Facebook’s OAuth screen is intentionally kept as an off-site wp_redirect() and documented as such.
- date() calls replaced with gmdate() (WordPress always runs in UTC internally, so displayed times are unaffected).
1.7.7
- Updated „Tested up to“ to WordPress 7.1.
- Database queries: table names are escaped, and the visitor filter now uses one fixed prepared query.
1.7.6
- Security: nonce and capability checks on all settings, actions and AJAX handlers; nonce values are now sanitized before verification.
- Security: counsellors can only view or change leads assigned to them (ownership check on lead pages, follow-ups, notes and stage changes).
- Security: Meta webhook POST requests must carry a valid X-Hub-Signature-256 signature; „Clear log“ is now protected against CSRF.
- All dynamic output is escaped (esc_html, esc_attr, esc_url, esc_js, wp_kses_post).
- Documented the external services (Meta Graph API, WhatsApp click-to-chat, Pabbly Connect) in this readme.
- Removed the invalid Plugin URI, updated „Tested up to“ to WordPress 7.0, fixed the Contributors list.
- PHP 7.4 compatibility fix (removed str_contains()).
1.7.5
- Renamed to Vidyarthi CRM (author: Dimple). Internal prefix changed from CMCRM to VCRM.
- Existing data from the old build is migrated automatically on activation.
- Added Requires at least / Requires PHP headers (WordPress 5.8, PHP 7.4).
1.1.1
- Renamed package as Course Manager CRM Add-on.
- Added safer Course Manager bridge conversion.
- Fixed CSV export headers.
- Removed PHP arrow functions for better hosting compatibility.
1.0.0
- Initial release.
